Founded by an occupational psychologist, and supported by a holistic team of consultants, data analysts and associates, we blend scientific insight with human warmth to support real-world workplace wellbeing. Whether you're navigating stress, leading change, or building resilience, our evidence-based services are designed to empower and uplift.

Our Story...

PsyQ began as a quiet commitment to making work better. 

​Originally founded in 2007 as GP Psychology Consultancy, it started as a small, trading-as company with a clear purpose: to bring psychological insight into the heart of working life.

In 2025, it evolved into PsyQ—a limited company with a sharper identity and a broader reach, but the same core mission.
 

​​​​​PsyQ was founded by Dr Gemma Pike, a chartered and HCPC-registered occupational psychologist with a PhD in psychology exploring proactivity, simply put how people make things happen at work, and what that means for wellbeing and burnout. With one foot in academia, lecturing on psychology programmes, she has written papers on topics like menopause at work and hybrid working, blending an academic and practitioner approach.

Across all our PsyQ projects, one thread remains: a psychologically informed approach to helping people thrive at work.
 

From frontline resilience to strategic wellbeing audits, PsyQ’s work spans sectors and settings, but always returns to the human experience with a spotlight on wellbeing at work. Whether supporting prison officers, retail managers, educators, or digital trust and safety content moderators, the goal is the same: to make work better, with care, clarity, and psychological depth.
